Research Interests
  • Identifying and modeling transport and fate of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in the environment (air, snow, ice, sediment, vegetation)
  • Radiometric dating of lake sediments for the identification of historical inputs of POPs and trace metals
  • Analysis and measurement of new POPs (current-use pesticides and industrial chemicals) in remote environments
  • Using forensic techniques to trace sources and origins of POPs found in the environment
Education

  • M.S. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 1980
