International ROV Competition
High School and UWM undergraduate student teams are challenged to design and build Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles (ROVs) that function as submarine rescue systems. Student teams participate in the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Center's International ROV Competition.

High School Building the Water Generation ROV Competition: Any student team from the Milwaukee Region (7 Counties) formal or informal education providers can form teams. This event is funded by the Regional Workforce Alliance of Southeastern Wisconsin in partnership with UWM-Great Lakes WATER Institute, School of Continuing Education, and Discovery World.
